Better Plus Kit 

The Better Plus Kit builds on the robust framework of the Better Kit by incorporating a high-solids, two-component polyaspartic clear topcoat. This addition significantly enhances the wear/scratch resistance over that of the clear epoxy and is also UV Stable. This kit is engineered to provide a visually superior and more durable coating solution.

The Better Plus Kit not only maintains all the distinct properties of the Good Kit but elevates the final finish with double the flake density and an advanced polyaspartic clear coat. This results in increased scratch resistance, a more substantial appearance, and enhanced longevity, with an expected residential lifespan of approximately 30 years.

Why are Polyaspartics the best finish coat?

Polyaspartic floor coatings and 100% solids epoxy floor coatings are both popular options for protective and decorative floor finishes, particularly in commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Each has its specific strengths and ideal use cases. Typically 100% solids epoxy is a better base coat and Polyaspartics are a better top coat. Here are the key benefits of choosing polyaspartic floor coatings over 100% solids epoxy coatings for a finish coat:

1. UV Stability

Polyaspartic Coatings: Polyaspartic floor coatings are highly UV resistant, which means they won’t yellow or degrade significantly when exposed to sunlight. This makes them an excellent choice for areas that receive a lot of natural light.

100% Solids Epoxy: Traditional epoxy coatings are prone to yellowing when exposed to UV light, which can be a disadvantage in sun-exposed areas.

2. Abrasion Resistance

  • Polyaspartic Coatings: These coatings offer superior abrasion resistance compared to epoxies. This makes them ideal for high-traffic areas or floors that need to withstand heavy use.
