IMPORTANT INFORMATION

When the entire order arrives, inspect all items, as well as color(s) of the material(s). From time of delivery, 5 (five) days is allotted to report any issues, shortages, damages, etc. Thoroughly read the Installation Instructions. Performance DIY cannot be held liable if you fail to read and follow these instructions.

Please be advised the color of epoxy resin is the final color and will not lighten or darken when cured.

To achieve color continuity/consistency when purchasing more than 1 kit, batch mixing of all Part A’s is necessary.

Once Part A & Part B are properly mixed, immediately pour in ribbons on the floor (according to instructions). Leaving mixed material in a mixing pail will create an exothermic (quick curing) reaction and the product will no longer be usable.

First Aid Measures

Ingestion

If ingested, do not induce vomiting unless directed to by medical personnel. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Drink two cups of water or milk. In case of contact with eyes or skin, clean with soap and water and then flush with cold water for 15 minutes.

Safety glasses must be worn when mixing, rubber gloves must be worn when mixing and applying.

Any unused contents can be mixed together, dried and disposed of.

Before You Start

Make sure all loose concrete/asphalt is chipped away. Any contaminants must be cleaned from the surface/hole. All loose dirt or debris must be blown, swept, or vacuumed prior to applying PerformanceDIY.com PavePatch. The consistency of PerformanceDIY.com PavePatch mixed is like concrete. Remember PerformanceDIY.com PavePatch will bond perfectly to any properly prepared surface. If there is dirt or contaminants it will bond to that and not the sound surface and if it were to fail will take these contaminants with it. PerformanceDIY.com PavePatch will not optimally bond to sealed concrete. The sealer must first be removed with a diamond grinder. Where concrete/asphalt has compromised integrity, you must saw cut a straight vertical edge and applying Pave-Patch 1.5” minimum thickness.

Concrete horizontal/vertical surfaces, clean sanded metal, asphalt, plastic, and wood.

1 and 2-Gallon Pave-Patch Mixes

Pour all contents of Part “B” Activator into large mixing bucket. Pour all contents of Part “A” into the into large mixing bucket. Mix with a 1/2” heavy duty drill and supplied mixing wand for 3 minutes moving the drill up and down, until thoroughly mixed.

Slowly add aggregate to the mixed contents in the mixing bucket and continue to mix thoroughly. We recommend using the proportionate amount of aggregate to the mixed container, example: if you mix half the epoxy use half the sand. Apply mixed product within 40 minutes at 70 °F. (shorter time to use if warmer)

15-Gallon Pave-Patch Mixes

Pour one quart of Part “B” Activator into large mixing bucket. Pour 1/2 gallon of Part “A” (1/4 of the two-gallon Part A bucket) into large mixing bucket. Mix with a 1/2” heavy duty drill and supplied mixing wand for 3 minutes moving the drill up and down, until thoroughly mixed.

Slowly add up to one 50 lb. bag of aggregate (less if you want it thinner) to the mixed contents in the mixing bucket and continue to mix thoroughly. Apply mixed product within 40 minutes at 70 °F. (shorter time to use if warmer)

Temperatures and Dry Times

May be applied at temperatures between 40 °F and 90 °F. Drying is approximately 4 hours at 70 °F, longer at cooler temperatures/shorter at warmer temperatures.

When patching over a joint we recommend either re-establishing the joint 1” deep within 2 hours or installing a 1/8” piece of wood/plastic into the joint, patch then remove before curing.

Should I power wash my surface?

It does help to power wash the area to remove surface contaminants and loose debris.

How can I remove dried PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch from driveway concrete?

We recommend diamond grinding to remove the dried material. Because Pave-Patch is so strong there is nothing that can remove this without mechanical diamond grinding.

Can I use PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch indoors and on basement floors?

Yes, Pave-Patch is safe and approved for indoor use. There are no VOC fumes.

Can I apply PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch over an existing coating?

PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch can be applied over existing paints/coatings by simply making sure the existing coatings are cleaned, sanded (80-100 grit) and bonding. All areas that are not bonding must be diamond ground to a sound surface.

What temperatures can I apply PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch?

30 °F-100 °F.

How thin or thick may I apply PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch?

From 1/16” up to 2 ft. Curing is faster the thicker you apply. PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch is both a patch and resurfacer so you can ramp, fill, resurface or patch any surface indoors or out.

Does PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch crack?

All patching products including PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch can crack. If the sub surface cracks it may telegraph through the patch. Pave-Patch will however bond to the concrete/asphalt better than the concrete/asphalt bonds to itself. We recommend joints to be exposed and patched with PerformanceDIY.com flexible adhesive acrylic caulk (PerformanceDIY.com)

Should I add thinner to the coating when mixing?

No.

How would I apply PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch over wood surfaces?

Simply remove sealers/waxes/contaminants/nails and apply. If the wood is clean and has a texture to it, PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch will adhere to it.

WARRANTY

Residential:

PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch shall warranty its product applications against failing for 1-year of the surface for the original purchaser, proving its application in accordance with PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch application procedures and the warranty registration certificate is filled out and mailed or e-mailed back within 10 days of purchase.

This warranty applies to failure caused as the direct result of product failure. Patch which fails as a result of concrete/ asphalt failing under the patch is not warranted. The sole and exclusive maximum liability of PerformanceDIY.com Pave-Patch under this warranty will be to replace the appropriate quantity necessary for re-coating warranted area with up to one full kit. Please allow shipping and handling.
