PREPARATION 

____Step 1:  

Recommended but not necessary to work in a ventilated room; (do not work near heat or flames if using Polyaspartic). Clean surfaces; remove any debris from areas. Mix part “A” Resin. 

____Step 2:  

Sand the surface with the supplied sanding paper. Wipe clean with rags to remove any sanding dust and debris. 

SOLID COLOR COAT APPLICATION 

____Step 1: 1st Color Coat 

Pour all of Part “B” into larger clean container. Pour all of Part “A” base coat (colored) into same container. Mix thoroughly for 3 minutes with the mixing tool or mixing stick for 3 minutes, paying close attention to all around the buckets sides and rising and lowering the mixing tool. 

____Step 2:  

Spread the color coating material evenly over the area, clean the squeegee (if used) well with a rag and xylene, as you may need it in the future:  DO NOT SOAK IN XYLENE THIS WILL DESTROY THE SQUEEGEE. Using the supplied 4” roller, roll out the base coating material evenly over the area and the outer perimeter. Use small torch to reduce bubbles by waving flame quickly over bubbled surface.  

____Step 3:  

After 24 hrs. sand with 800+ grit to remove any high areas or inconsistencies to create a smooth surface.  

 

METALLIC COAT APPLICATION 

Note: A solid color is often used as a base coat application for metallic applications, see above application instructions. 

____Step 1:   

Pour all of Part “B” into large clean container. Pour all of Part “A” pre-mix metallic resin into same container. Mix thoroughly for 3 minutes with the mixing tool for 3 minutes, paying close attention to all around the buckets sides and rising and lowering the mixing tool. 

____Step 2:  

Using the supplied 1/8” squeegee spread the metallic coating material evenly over the counter to area, clean the squeegee well with a rag and xylene, as you will need it in step 8:  DO NOT SOAK IN XYLENE THIS WILL DESTROY THE SQUEEGEE. Using the supplied 4” roller, roll out the base coating material evenly over the counter top area and the outer perimeter. Use small torch to reduce bubbles.  

Optional: 

____Step 3:  

After 24 hrs. sand with 800+ grit to remove any high areas or inconsistencies to create a smooth surface. Repeat steps application steps 1-2 with either metallic or clear coat epoxy. 

 

CLEAR COAT APPLICATION 

____Step 1:  

Pour all of Part “B” into larger clean container. Pour all of Part “A” base coat (clear) into same container. Mix thoroughly for 3 minutes with the mixing tool or mixing stick for 3 minutes, paying close attention to all around the buckets sides and rising and lowering the mixing tool. 

____Step 2:  

Spread the base coating material evenly over the area, clean the squeegee (if used) well with a rag and xylene, as you may need it in the future:  DO NOT SOAK IN XYLENE THIS WILL DESTROY THE SQUEEGEE. Using the supplied 4” roller, roll out the base coating material evenly over the area and the outer perimeter. Use small torch to reduce bubbles by waving flame quickly over bubbled surface.  

Optional: 

____Step 3:  

After 24 hrs. sand with 800+ grit to remove any high areas or inconsistencies to create a smooth surface.   Repeat steps application steps 1-2. 

Optional PerformanceDIY.com Poly 200 Clear Topcoat  

(UV Protection) allow 10 to 24 hours to pass before applying 

No mixing required, simply brush and roller apply (odors will be present for 12 hours, must be ventilated)
