This system is meticulously designed for similar applications—garages, basements, and industrial or commercial settings—delivering a more robust and visually appealing finish.

The Metallic Kit advances the quality benchmark set by the Good Kit, featuring a dual-layer system of 100% solid cycloaliphatic epoxy base coat topped with a clear coat. This robust system is expertly crafted for use in garages, basements, and a variety of industrial or commercial settings, providing a stronger and more visually striking finish.

Key Features of the Metallic Kit:

  • Advanced Two-Coat System: Designed for direct application to concrete, providing a thickness twelve times greater than that of water-based epoxies in two-coat applications. 20 mils DFT.
  • Environmental and Safety Standards: Maintains zero VOCs and includes anti-microbial properties, ensuring safety and sustainability. No Odors!
  • Enhanced Safety and Aesthetics: Aluminum oxide for superior slip resistance and visual appeal.
  • Extended Durability and Protection: Includes a clear topcoat that not only adds scratch resistance but also enhances the overall thickness and durability of the finish. 24 Mils DFT.
  • Extended Warranty: Comes with a 5-year warranty, reflecting its long-lasting quality. Estimated usable life: 25 Years.
  • Optional Medium Tool Kit: Offers an optional tool kit containing all necessary components for an easy and efficient installation

The Metallic Kit not only retains the foundational elements of the Good Kit but also incorporates an advanced clear coat and metallic pigments, enhancing both its aesthetic appeal and functional longevity, making it an exceptional choice for both residential and commercial applications.

Why are Polyaspartics the best finish coat?

Polyaspartic floor coatings and 100% solids epoxy floor coatings are both popular options for protective and decorative floor finishes, particularly in commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Each has its specific strengths and ideal use cases. Typically 100% solids epoxy is a better base coat and Polyaspartics are a better top coat. Here are the key benefits of choosing polyaspartic floor coatings over 100% solids epoxy coatings for a finish coat:

1. UV Stability

Polyaspartic Coatings: Polyaspartic floor coatings are highly UV resistant, which means they won’t yellow or degrade significantly when exposed to sunlight. This makes them an excellent choice for areas that receive a lot of natural light.

100% Solids Epoxy: Traditional epoxy coatings are prone to yellowing when exposed to UV light, which can be a disadvantage in sun-exposed areas.

2. Abrasion Resistance

  • Polyaspartic Coatings: These coatings offer superior abrasion resistance compared to epoxies. This makes them ideal for high-traffic areas or floors that need to withstand heavy use. This means they will maintain a higher gloss level and reduce noticeable scratching better than 100% solids epoxy.
  • 100% Solids Epoxy: While still durable, epoxy may not perform as well under extreme wear and tear compared to polyaspartic coatings.

3. Aesthetic and Design Flexibility

  • Polyaspartic Coatings: Polyaspartic coatings are clear and can be applied over decorative broadcasts or colored base coats without obscuring the design. They also tend to have a higher gloss finish which can enhance the aesthetic appeal of the flooring.
  • 100% Solids Epoxy: Epoxy also offers good aesthetic flexibility and can incorporate colors and flakes. However, the clarity and gloss levels might be less pronounced than with polyaspartic coatings.

4. Chemical/Stain Resistance

  • Both coatings offer good chemical resistance, though the specific resistance can vary based on the formulation. Polyaspartic coatings generally provide better protection against a wide range of chemicals, making them suitable for garages, workshops, and industrial settings. Polyaspartics are more stain resistant than other type of finish coats.

5. Maintenance

  • Polyaspartic Coatings: They are easy to clean and maintain due to their smooth and non-porous surface.
