COLLODIAL SILICA EPOXY FILLER DIRECTIONS:

Step 1:

Mix PerformanceDIY.com epoxy resin and hardener thoroughly before adding filler.

Step 2:

Blend in small handfuls or scoops of Collodial Silica until the desired, uniform consistency is reached. This guide describes the epoxy/filler consistencies recommended for various uses.

SLIGHTLY THICK:

A syrup consistency - for laminating/bonding flat panels, large surface areas, injecting with a syringe.

MODERATELY THICK:

A pudding consistency - for general bonding, filleting, hardware bonding.

VERY THICK:

A toothpaste consistency - for no-sag gap filling, filleting, bonding uneven surfaces.

For maximum strength, add only enough filler to completely bridge gap between surfaces without sagging or running out of the joint. apply enough epoxy/filler mixture so a small amount will squeeze from the joint when clamped.

To extend working life, especially when working in warm temperatures, spread the mixture into a thin layer.

WARNING:

AVOID BREATHING DUST.

Excessive inhalation could cause lung damage. Use adequate ventilation or approved respiratory protection to avoid breathing airborne filler. PerformanceDIY.com Collodial Silica can generate a static electrical charge when handled and could be an ignition source in flammable or explosive atmospheres.
